Customers grow increasingly interested in beauty products, specially cosmetic brands are now selling at convenience stores. The dollar store in particular is emerging  as a beauty product seller that includes cosmetics with reasonable prices. The dollar store is likely  to have a significant impact on the beauty industry with their low-cost cosmetics. While existing retail stores are struggling with the expansion of the online market. Dollar store is growing and 1,000 stores are opening all over the US this year. 

On the other hand, ultra-low-cost products in drugstores and dollar stores have some issues. 

CheatSheet, an online medium, warns about potential problems and side effects. Some cheap products often contain harmful ingredients or are expired, indicating that they can cause allergies, skin seizures, and hair damages. 

1. Might be expired

While the products at dollar stores may look brand new, their actual production date could have been far too long ago. Always check for an expiration date.

2. Contain harmful chemicals

Many cheap makeup and skin care products contain harmful chemicals. Always check the ingredients list for signs of said chemicals. 

3. Could be counterfeit

If a famous product is sold at a bargain price, you should be wary of it. Before purchasing, do a quick Google check to verify what stores are certified retailers for the product you're considering.

4. Allergic reactions

If you have sensitive skin or are prone to irritation, you may experience and allergic reaction to a dollar store beauty product. Test it before purchasing.

5. Breakouts

Drugstore beauty products may cause your skin to break out. Make sure the label reads "non-comedogenic" and "Oil-Free".

6. Dehydration your skin

Be wary of dollar store products that contain irritating ingredients such as alcohol, fragrances, and preservatives.

7. Smaller size

Certain dollar store products have found that the size of the bottle is actually much smaller than what is sold in a drug store. Capacity should always be checked.
